Cycling Updates
The location for the Cycling Event has changed from E.P. “Tom” Sawyer Park to Cherokee Park at 745 Cochran Hill Road, Louisville, KY 40206. The dates and times will remain as originally scheduled. Both the 5K and the 10K Time Trial courses are out-and-back courses. The practice days for the cycling competition will be open to vehicular traffic, joggers, and other park users.
Cyclists may ship their bikes to The Cyclers Café, 2295 Lexington Road, Louisville, KY 40206. You can also visit the Cyclers Café website at http://www.cyclerscafe.com/ or call at 502-451-5152. This vendor can perform the following services: receive all bicycles, assemble all bikes for a charge of $35.00, provide race-day repairs on-site for a fee, and return ship your bike for a charge of approximately $55.00 depending on your destination. June 22, 2007: Cherokee Park will be closed to traffic from 10:00am-12:00pm for practice on the 20K/40K Road Race Course. The 5K Time Trial course will be an Open Practice Course.
June 25, 2007: Cherokee Park will be closed to traffic from 10:00am-12:00pm for practice on the 20K/40K Road Race Course. The 10K Time Trial course will be an Open Practice Course.
Competition Days: All athletes must first check-in at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC) in the Astrazeneca Athlete Village the day prior to competition to pick-up credentials. Athletes will not be allowed to compete if they do not have their credential. After picking up your credentials at Athlete Check-in, all athletes must proceed to the Sports Information Desk for Cycling to pick-up their bib number and chips.
Upon arrival at Cherokee and/ or Seneca Parks on race days, all athletes must proceed to on-site check-in. Any last minute start times and/or race information will be distributed at this time. Awards will be given out at the finish line areas immediately following each age division's finish.

Due to changes that could occur between now and the 2007 National Senior Games, the NSGA reserves the right to make any necessary changes to these schedules. All final schedules can be picked up at the Sports Information Desk within the Athlete Village upon checking in.
