The National Senior Games Association (NSGA) is the nation's leading organization representing fitness and sports interests for mature adults. NSGA is the U.S. Olympic Committee's official arm to seniors and functions in cooperation with the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
Established in 1986, the NSGA serves as the umbrella organization for 50 Member State Games and some 350 Local and Regional Games. More than 250,000 mature adults are involved in training, competition, and education on a year-round basis.
The organization charged with producing the 2007 Summer National Senior Games - The Senior Olympics presented by Humana is called the Louisville Local Organizing Committee (LLOC). The LLOC is an independent, non-profit organization that operates under contract with NSGA through local staff under guidance from an independent board of directors.
Our Vision:
The LLOC aims to enhance the quality of life for seniors and inspire everyone to live a more active lifestyle. We will build a legacy of healthy living that reverberates long after 2007.
Our Mission:
As an event operator, the LLOC will provide a world-class, Olympic-caliber event for senior athletes. Our competition management, customer service and hospitality will exceed expectations. We will showcase the city of Louisville and the state of Kentucky, and demonstrate the community spirit of the Commonwealth.
